About
The intersection of music and editing is a direct one. Flow, rhythm, tone, structure. In a word: feel.
John Shisko is an editor. And a musician. And he brings this easy, intuitive, musical sense to every project he cuts.
Toronto-based, with over 15 years experience and with award-winning projects broadcast on many major networks and screened at various festivals world-wide, his stick bag includes a passion for crafting compelling stories, “big sky” perspective and an instinctive understanding that working in media is a collaboration.
He loves breaking bread with the many people who have put their energies into a project, but is also a problem-solving self-starter helping to distill and structure only the most vital meaning from the sounds and images he has been given.
The technical and the creative meet up “in the pocket” daily; on time, on budget, and with feel.
"You got to learn everything you can and then forget it all, man. That's the only way to express the truth coming through ya."
-Elvin Jones, drumming giant
